Music Appreciation

Music Theory

Our theory classes offer a systematic study of notes, pitch, rhythm, scales, chords, melody, harmony, structure, and musical vocabulary/ terminology. Curriculum is specifically geared toward 7-12th-grade students who are eager to analyze and understand the “nuts and bolts” behind how music actually works.

This fun and engaging class is designed to help students better understand and enjoy the vast world of music. A great option for any educator looking to enhance their K-8th-grade school/ homeschool program with a comprehensive and inspiring fine arts elective.

For those who want to take a close-up look at the personal lives and works of history’s most famous composers, this class may be for you. In music history, we not only learn about the composers themselves, but students also see the profound impact these artists have had on society, past and present.
